(Reuters) - Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc said it recalled two lots of its pain drug Endocet as it may contain incorrect tablets that have a higher dose of widely used analgesic, acetaminophen.
The company said it recalled certain bottles containing Endocet 10 mg/325 mg tablets, a combination product of two medications: oxycodone and acetaminophen, as it contained some Endocet 10 mg/650 mg tablets.
Endo said the unintentional administration of tablets with increased acetaminophen content may result in liver toxicity.
Shares of the company closed at $38.63 on Friday on Nasdaq.
